Castle Forbes products are of the highest quality but for those of us with sensitive skin this lavender shaving cream is on another level and is the best on the market. It is an essential part of the shaving routine.

I have been using Castle Forbes shaving creams for a good few years. I have tried many others, some excellent, others not so! In my opinion Castle Forbes shaving creams are the best.

The fragrance is always a subjective issues ! I am not crazy about Lavender which is dry, spicy and clean , but if you ask me about the performance, yes it is top notch . I am big fan of the TOBS but this one is a step higher

The shaving cream smells beautiful and it gives you a lovely creamy shaving experience.

With so many soaps and creams on the market, it can be very difficult to choose which ones to buy. I want a shaving soap or cream to have certain attributes. First of all it needs to lather well, and maintain that lather through at least three passes. If that lather will take on a lot of water whilst doing this, then all the better for hydration. Sufficient lubrication and cushioning is needed to enable a safe and smooth action for the razor and blade against the skin. Castle Forbes performs brilliantly at this but it doesn't end here. The post shave feeling is of utmost importance to me and this is where this product really shines. The water retention in the lather and list of ingredients rewards with incredible feeling skin afterwards, so much better than it even does before, something that cannot be said for most products. I was also surprised at just how little product you need for each shave. This jar is going to last you a very long time. I prefer to dispense a little of the cream into my bowl as its all too easy to add too much from dipping the tips of your brush into it.
Now, I've left the best part to the last, the scent. I've been left disappointed by other products which provide a rather artificial element. If you love the smell of real lavender as I do, then nothing else comes close. This evokes many happy memories of driving around the south of France, with lavender fields all around , this is that exact scent, the real deal.
All this comes beautifully packaged and exudes quality in every way. The best part of all? It's made right here in the UK, in Scotland. It's something we can be very proud of.

The Lavender Castle Forbes shaving cream is one of my all time favourite shaving products. A little product makes a huge amount of lather, which is slick, smooth and protects after the lather is rinsed off.

The Lavender scent is very nicely done here. It isn't too spicy, neither is it light though. The scent dies down soon enough as you'd expect from a shaving cream - I use it in the winter months and get great results with it.

My skin is quite sensitive and often breaks out into flaky skin or a red rash. This cream is gentle enough for my skin and I have had no problems with it.

Not remotes moisturising left skin dry and sore massive rip off do not buy.
